Le p'tit magasin devenu gîte Marie-Angèle est née en 1903 à Treignes, où elle a tenu un magasin jusqu'en 1973. Les clients belges et français (nous sommes à quelques kilomètres de la frontière) y trouvaient de tout, une véritable caverne d'Ali Baba. A la mort de Marie-Angèle, son neveu a transformé l'endroit en gîte. Le bâtiment a été racheté fin 2015 par un jeune couple de la région. Julie vient de Nismes (commune de Viroinval), David de Mariembourg (commune de Couvin). Ensemble, ils ont comme projet de faire vivre cet endroit, en conservant son nom et son âme, et de faire découvrir leur chère Entre-Sambre-et-Meuse aux touristes d'ici et d'ailleurs. Un gîte de 8 à 14 personnes "Chez Marie-Angèle" est situé au coeur du village de Treignes, à quelques pas de l'église et de la ferme-château du XVIe siècle.  De l'extérieur, un bâtiment en pierres du pays. A l'intérieur, un vaste hébergement pour 8 à 14 personnes avec une grande salle à manger, deux salons dont un avec poêle à bois, deux cuisines, une buanderie, six chambres et deux salles de bains. Sans oublier la terrasse, au sud, et son barbecue. L'idéal pour les familles, amis, randonneurs... qui veulent vivre des vacances dépaysantes : dans le Parc naturel Viroin-Hermeton et dans un gîte à la décoration rétro. Passionnées par notre ville et notre région, nous avons ressenti le besoin de partager leurs coins et leurs recoins en invitant des hôtes dans le bâtiment qui jouxte notre maison. Les différents confinements ne sont pas étrangers à ce projet bien réfléchi. Nos 2 gîtes peuvent accueillir respectivement 2 et 4 personnes ( plus bébés). Situés au premier étage, ils ont presque les pieds dans l'eau! L'accès au ravel est immédiat et la Croisette de Dinant, à 5 minutes de marche, vous conduira directement vers le centre-ville.

The Musée du Malgré-Tout is an archeology museum based on Prehistory and Antiquity. He settled in the premises of the old power plant Treignes and takes its name from the locality. The other exhibition spaces are constituted by the gallery of the evolution of Man and his techniques in Prehistory, the Park of Prehistory which presents reconstructions of prehistoric habitats as well as by a temporary exhibition hall. The Museum also has one of the most complete archaeological libraries in Belgium as well as a molding workshop.

Depuis bientôt 5 ans, notre Office du Tourisme est également labellisé « Bienvenue Vélo « . Ceci implique notamment la mise à disposition d'un parking vélo, d'une fontaine à eau, d'une pharmacie et d'un kit de réparation. Pour nos cyclistes malchanceux, ce dernier est disponible dans nos locaux. Toutes nos équipes se tiennent à votre disposition et se feront un plaisir de vous accueillir ou de vous renseigner !

Hastière, nestled in the Meuse valley, a stone's throw from Dinant, is very easily accessible. Its location makes it an ideal starting point for many excursions and tourist visits in the region. The multiple and varied accommodation possibilities, complemented by a rich catering offer, make it a pleasant place to stay. In Hastière, it is the Meuse which gives rhythm to the life of the inhabitants of the town, which the river crosses from south to north. Omnipresent, it offers a wonderful natural setting with breathtaking sights and panoramas. In this setting flourish villages with well-marked characters and traditions and exceptional monuments, witnesses of an extraordinary historical and cultural past: the Abbey of Hastière-par-delà and the castles of Freÿr and Waulsort . The unusual is also very present, with in particular, in Waulsort, the last water courier still active on the Belgian course of the Meuse, or the vestiges of villas and hotels witnessing the splendor of the village in the first half of the past century. But Hastière is also well anchored in the present, with an rich associative life and many activities. The Meuse has also set its sights on the 21st century. In order to avoid the catastrophic floods at the end of the last century, the river was the subject of major modernization works on its dams and locks. Recently, floating hydroelectric power stations, true technological prowess, were placed near the two works. They provide renewable and natural energy. An open-air museum dedicated to the history of Mosan dams is installed at Hastière lock, next to the RAVeL. Hastière favors soft mobility, with a well-developed network of paths and trails. The RAVeL follows the old disused line 156 from Mariembourg to Hermeton, then the Meuse to Waulsort (and perhaps soon to Dinant and Namur). A network of marked hiking trails (155 km divided into 23 loops) and mountain bike circuits complete it, allowing you to travel the territory at your own pace and discover its treasures, which the locals, proud of their villages, will gladly reveal to you. So put on your walking boots or get on your bike. Follow the hiking or cycling trail markers… And suddenly, at the bend of a path, a panorama opens up to you, over a magnificent village, nestled along the river. Let yourself be guided, according to your desires, and soak up the sweetness of life in the Meuse valley. Hastière welcomes you ... with open arms!

Located in the Castle Farm of Treignes, impressive building dating back to its oldest part to sixteenth century, the Ecomuseum of the Viroin offers to its visitors and users to (re) discover the rural heritage of the Entre-Sambre and Meuse region and, through this, the past of our society and its changes from the eighteenth to the twentieth century. The museum is an illustration of the technological know-how of village communities, but also a mirror of cultural and social changes that have passed throught the region of Entre-Sambre-et-Meuse for two centuries. Through scientific research, the valorization of a vast collection (tools, furniture, agricultural machinery, posters ...), events, educational animations, it is a whole knowledge and a whole history which are transmitted and share. Anchored in its time, the Ecomuseum of the Viroin also works to enhance current thinking on rurality and the notion of ecological transition .
